Morgan Robinson Selected for National Future Farming Programme

We are pleased to share that Morgan Robinson, a member of our Estates team, has been selected to take part in the prestigious Oxford Farming Conference Inspire Programme.

The Inspire Programme recognises emerging leaders from across the UK’s food, farming and land management sectors. Selection is highly competitive and brings together individuals who are helping to shape the future of British agriculture at a time of significant change.

Morgan’s inclusion in the programme reflects both his individual contribution and the wider work taking place across our estate to support sustainable agriculture, environmental stewardship and rural enterprise.

Developing the Next Generation of Land-Based Leaders

The Oxford Farming Conference Inspire Programme provides participants with access to the annual Oxford Farming Conference, alongside mentoring, leadership development and opportunities to engage with senior figures in farming, food production and rural policy.

The programme is designed to equip the next generation of decision-makers with the knowledge, networks and perspective required to navigate evolving agricultural policy, climate challenges and market transformation.

Morgan’s role within Holker involves estate operations and land management across thousands of acres. Working closely with farming tenants, conservation partners and rural businesses, he plays an important part in ensuring that productive farming, environmental responsibility and long-term stewardship remain aligned across our landholdings.

Strengthening Cumbria’s Agricultural Voice

Cumbria has a strong farming heritage and an increasingly important role in national conversations around land use, sustainability and rural resilience. Morgan’s participation in the Inspire Programme ensures that insight from these discussions continues to inform how we manage and support our estate.

As Morgan comments:

“I’m delighted to have been selected. It’s a real honour and a valuable opportunity to learn from others working at the forefront of farming and land management, and to bring that knowledge back to Cumbria and to Holker.”

Investment in people is central to long-term estate stewardship. By supporting leadership development within our team, we strengthen our ability to respond to change, share best practice and continue delivering for our farming tenants, partners and the wider rural economy.

We congratulate Morgan on this achievement and look forward to the insight and experience he will bring back to Holker.
